College Counseling

As an educator and college consultant, my goal is to provide individualized information and support to students and parents throughout the entire college selection and admissions process.  I provide students with strategies and resources to meet the challenge of selecting, and being admitted to, the college or university that provides the best fit for them.  From the outset, I encourage students to explore their interests, abilities, and goals so that they can make informed decisions.  I will break the admissions process down into clear, manageable steps to give your student the best possible opportunity of being admitted to the college of his or her choice.

We offer two different programs for college counseling:

Comprehensive, customized sessions beginning in the junior year including a personal assessment and creation of a planning calendar for the application process.  This is followed by the formation of a preliminary college list and selection of "best-fit" colleges as well as preparation for scheduling testing, college visits, and successful interviews.  In the student's senior year, we assist with applications, essays and resumes, as well guide you through the acceptance and financial aid process. 

Individual, one hour meetings to guide you through any step of the application process, including: college selection, admission strategies, writing resumes and essays, effective interviewing, and financial aid.
